A Prophecy of Sacrilege
GUTGRINDER was formed in December 2011 and the original line-up still remains today. Shortly thereafter they moved into the studio to record the five-song EP “Lustland” released in January 2012; the material shows hints of Slam Death Metal and gore themed lyrics. Despite being a relatively new band, all GUTGRINDER members have been in several bands over the years, and it reflected on the maturity of their songs.
After promoting the EP and playing several shows in Colombia, the band started the production of what would be their first album, a conceptual piece that develops a story through the songs, melting the aggression and dynamics of Death Metal with the dark sound of Black Metal. In 2016 GUTGRINDER landed a record deal with HateWorks, in 2017 the album “A Prophecy of Sacrilege” was released with great reception from fans and the press.
In 2018 the band keep their active shows schedule and is currently working on their second full-length, a 2019 release is expected.
